Ribbon has released Ribbon Connect for Zoom, allowing service providers to facilitate Zoom Phone integrations.

The solution provides off-the-shelf integration services, workflows, and connectivity paths to integrate into the Zoom Phone Provider Exchange.

Ribbon Connect for Zoom adds to its connect portfolio, which includes Ribbon Connect for Webex, Ribbon Connect for Operator Connect, and Ribbon Connect for Teams Direct Routing.

Jason Gilligan, Business Development Manager for Zoom Phone, said:

“We built Zoom Phone Provider Exchange to give our service provider partners a simpler path to offer telecom services to Zoom Phone customers.

“Ribbon’s expertise in integration and automation toolsets will accelerate service providers’ participation in the Zoom Phone Provider Exchange and in turn give our end customers the freedom to easily choose the ideal telecom provider for their PSTN connectivity needs.”

Ribbon is able to offer this solution to service providers as a Provider Exchange Accelerator Partner for Zoom Phone.

While service providers can find a workaround by creating a custom integration, it is a costly undertaking in terms of time, cost, and resources.

Ribbon Connect for Zoom speeds up the time to market for Zoom Phone integrations.

The Zoom Phone Provider Exchange’s web interface also makes it easy for customers to find and select certified telecom providers in their area.

The Ribbon Connect portfolio was built using Ribbon’s carrier-grade elements and it has been deployed in some of the biggest networks in the world.

It allows service providers to accelerate the integration time to numerous unified communications providers through its API integrations, connectivity, sales automation, and administration tools.

According to Ribbon, its integrations enable service providers to simplify the selling, billing, and provisioning processes necessary for cloud UC services.

The architecture behind Ribbon Connect also integrates well with its portfolio of Zoom-certified SBC’s and Voice Threat Prevention solutions.

Sam Bucci, EVP and Chief Operating Officer, Ribbon, commented: “Ribbon Connect for Zoom enables service providers to engage with Zoom Phone customers in weeks rather than months.

“Designed to help mitigate common IT and billing integration issues, and enhanced with sales enablement tools, this elegant solution facilitates new revenue sources for service providers by allowing them to offer telecom services to a broad range of UC platforms.”

Ribbon describes itself as a “global provider of real-time communications technology and IP optical networking solutions”.

In March this year, Ribbon added Ribbon Connect for Webex to its portfolio.

This enables service providers to quickly administer telephony services to Webex Calling deployments worldwide through Cloud Connect.

In 2021, Ribbon launched Ribbon Connect for Teams Direct Routing, so users can call their customers and associates wherever they may be.

This helped to solve the issue of integrating calling through Microsoft Teams, which was holding many companies back from unifying their business communication systems.

In November 2022, CBTS chose Ribbon to deploy Operator Connect Accelerator.

CBTS serves enterprise and midmarket clients in various industries across the United States and Canada.

Like Ribbon Connect for Zoom, the solution leverages API integrations, administration, and sales enablement tools to simplify the selling, provisioning, and billing of Operator Connect services.
