Resignation, Restructuring and Rumours at the Daisy Group

UC Today bring you the news of Neil Muller's resignation from the Daisy Group.

News has emerged that the CEO of Daisy group, Neil Muller, has resigned from his position and will leave the business immediately. The news comes amid much speculation about the Daisy Group, with rumours of a potential IPO or sale, rife.

His departure was first announced to staff internally citing his desire to 'pursue a new direction'. Muller has been at the helm of Daisy since 2015 and during that time he has overseen impressive growth coupled with an aggressive strategy of acquisitions.

Joining just after the reprivatisation of the Daisy Group it had been assumed that Muller would be part of the team that would be fundamental in selling the business.

Head of PR, Communications and Engagement at the Daisy Group, Simon Wright provided the following comment.

"As Daisy embarks on the next phase of its evolution, and having successfully led the significant transformation of the Group over the last 3.5 years, Neil Muller has decided that now is the right time to pursue a new direction. Neil is extremely proud of what Daisy has achieved over recent years, and thanks the entire Daisy team, customers, partners, and shareholders for their incredible support. Neil will continue to watch with interest as the company continues its ongoing development and success.”

Daisy Group are the UK's largest independent supplier of telephony and IT services and there has been much discussion surrounding a potential sale or IPO. Daisy Founder, Matthew Riley, has been rumoured to be considering bids for the group well in excess of £1 billion.

In the interim period, following Muller's resignation, it is assumed that Riley will take on the day to day management of the business.
