DTEN has released an Ethernet-enabled version of its DTEN Mate Zoom Rooms Controller.

The Power over Ethernet (PoE) offering of the device joins its wireless counterpart as a secure controller that is compatible with manufacturer-certified Zoom Rooms device.

Both versions of the device are designed to offer easy, intuitive solutions for managing Zoom meetings.

Nia Celestin, DTEN Head of Marketing, said: “The DTEN Mate delivers amazing versatility for the hybrid workplace. It’s a controller, connector, and a scheduler.

“It works equally well with our award-winning DTEN solutions or any other certified Zoom Rooms device. And now customers can select between PoE and wireless versions.”

According to DTEN, the devices both serve as a Zoom Rooms Controller (ZRC) and Zoom Rooms Scheduler (ZRS).

Users can launch meetings, admit participants, browse meeting schedules, adjust the camera and microphone settings, and more with just a single tap on the device.

The PoE and Wi-Fi versions can also reserve meeting rooms, allow users to check availability and book meeting spaces.

DTEN Mate also comes with a wall-mount device for easy installation or it can be put on a worktop.

DTEN say that both devices weigh less than one pound, are easy to set up and require virtually no learning curve, meaning it can be used straight away.

As well as the DTEN Mate, users can also opt for the DTEN ME Pro, which is a 27-inch touchscreen device equipped with three smart webcams and eight noise-cancelling microphones.

The system comes with preloaded Zoom software and has been designed by DTEN for Zoom’s audio and video calling services.

The company was founded in 2015 and is currently based in San Jose, California, USA.

DTEN’s solutions are designed to deliver real-life video conference experiences for every meeting space and have been the recipient of multiple international awards.

In May, the company announced that it was expecting to grow by at least 70% this year in its EMEA region.

DTEN’s GM of EMEA told UC Today it has sold to 33 different countries in the EMEA region, with the UK, Germany and France representing its most active areas for business.
