Avocor announced its partnership with Logitech, which fuses Avocor’s ‘Touch’ interactive displays with Logitech’s ‘Collaborative’ meeting room solutions.

The CollabTouch includes the Avocor E and G series displays with Logitech’s Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, and more, and it can be deployed in meeting spaces of all sizes. Logitech believes the CollabTouch is an all-in-one solution, providing business users with “equitable, interactive, virtual” experiences.

Avocor made the announcement shortly before UC Expo 2022, where Rylan Ramakrishnan, Technical Sales Engineer at Avocor, discussed the news with UC Today’s James Stephen:

The combined solution has been designed to work with all of the popular unified communications platforms. It offers the flexibility to customise the installation to rooms of all sizes. This can be a major pitfall of competing all-in-one display solutions with limited room size adaptability.

As a result, Avocor’s and Logitech’s combined solution enables users to move and reuse the devices, as well as swap in and out components to avoid the expense of having to replace the entire kit for the sake of a single part.

Dana Corey, SVP and GM at Avocor, said: “The current popularity of hybrid working has made team collaboration the foundation of ongoing business success.

“For this reason, having a meeting room equipped to deliver a great experience for remote and in-person attendees is essential for full participant engagement.

Our new CollabTouch solution powered by Logitech video collaboration room kits makes choosing the right hardware simple – the individual packages can be customised to any environment, and each works seamlessly with the software application of choice.”

There are seven room configurations on offer, depending on a customer’s room size. Every setup will include an Avocor E or G Series display and either a Logitech Rally Bar for medium and large rooms or a Logitech Rally Bar Mini for small and medium rooms. The Rally Bar and the Rally Bar Mini are video bars which mount and connect to Avocor displays using a unified cable. It also includes Ethernet, HDMI, and USB connections.

The Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini features include optical zoom and AI Viewfinder to enable 4k video. The audio uses AI sound optimisation for improved voice pick-up. RightSight 2 auto-framing offers various viewing options, such as highlighting the speaker or showing everyone in the room.

Logitech says the CollabTouch is easy to install and use, offering a high-quality out-of-the-box solution.

Sudeep Trivedi, Head of Alliances and Go-to-market at Logitech, said: “It’s challenging to make brainstorming equitable for everyone when a significant portion of the team is remote.

“Our integration with CollabTouch offers a flexible and simple solution to address this need, and our long-standing partnership with Avocor simplifies the use and deployment of interactive collaboration solutions in meeting spaces.”

Shipping dates have been set for the end of October in the U.S. and the end of November in the U.K. and Europe.

Avocor creates collaborative experiences using interactive solutions and software platforms designed to improve workplace collaboration and engagement. The company is headquartered in the U.S., with offices and partner networks worldwide.
