Logitech is one of the most popular companies in the world for AV technology. For years now, the brand has been rolling out sensational tools for meeting rooms and personal meetings. As the world of work has evolved, the Logitech portfolio has transformed too, with solutions like the Rally portfolio.

The Logitech Rally series of video conferencing tools includes a selection of all-in-one products intended to turn any room into a meeting space. The Logitech Rally Mini covers personal rooms and small meeting spaces, while the “Rally” central product is for mid-sized meeting rooms. The Rally Plus combines the standard Rally video conferencing bar with additional tools to support larger, enterprise and board-room style spaces.

Let’s take a closer look at the difference between these Rally products.

The Logitech Rally: Features

Built for the future of work, the Logitech next-gen collection of video conferencing tools makes launching meetings easier than ever. As all-in-one room kits, the Rally devices will ensure you can immediately connect to tools like Microsoft Teams Rooms in a matter of seconds.

All sizes of the Rally bar solution offer high-quality video and audio intended to make collaboration as crisp and clear as possible. The modular solutions can also be deployed in PC or appliance mode. In appliance mode, you don’t even need a computer to tune into your meeting software. The Logitech Rally is the mid-sized room offering, Featuring:

  • Easy plug-and-play setup
  • Modular design
  • Flexible and streamlined installation

The Logitech Rally Plus: Features

The Logitech Rally Plus offers the same sensational functionality as the Logitech Rally, however, it comes as a kit designed for bigger room experiences. Where the Rally covers up to 10 seats, the Rally Plus covers between 16 and 46 seats, depending on the needs of your business. Add-ons and options include additional Rally speakers, mounting kits, mic pods, and mic pod hubs.

Like the Rally standard experience, you still get all of the simplicity of a plug-and-play room kit, compatible with Mac, Windows, and Chrome OS. The solution is also compatible with all leading meeting and collaboration tools Features include:

  • Up to 4k video conferencing clarity

The premium modular video conferencing solution comes with all the unmatched audio and video performance you’d expect from the Logitech Rally. The only difference is that you can cover a larger meeting space with the Plus kit.

The Rally Plus also comes with the Roommate technology from Logitech, which provides an all-in-one appliance for connecting multiple pieces of audio and visual equipment in one environment. The purpose-built solution can connect to two HD displays and your USB camera, with various input and output ports. The sleek and attractive system works with Logitech Sync so that you can manage your meeting rooms from a distance.

Logitech Rally vs Logitech Rally Plus: Which is Best?

The Logitech Rally and Rally Plus are essentially the same product, just designed for different kinds of meeting room. As an all-in-one modular solution for video and audio, the Rally collection from Logitech can adapt to suit your needs, with the option to add on additional beam-forming microphones for more participants.

Because the Rally and Rally Plus both come with the same technology (just in different levels), you can expect a sensational experience with either solution. Both options are Zoom certified, and ready for Microsoft Teams. Both offer Cisco compatibility, Vidyo, BroadSoft, BlueJeans, GoTo, and other conferencing tool support options. Additionally, the Rally modular collection can also work with virtually any operating system.

Both the Logitech Rally and Rally Plus will also give you full access to the collection of RightSense technologies available from Logitech. These tools allow for camera control technology to automatically enhance your meetings. RightSense will automatically move your camera lens and adjust to focus on participants. RightLight improves light balance and enhances color and saturation too. RightSound delivers audio processing technology to optimise human voice.

The addition of the Logitech Roommate with the Plus system is a nice bonus if you want more control over larger meetings. You can instantly turn any room into a fully-equipped meeting space with this technology and even use the Microsoft Teams admin centre to control your devices.

Which Rally is Right for You?

As mentioned above, there’s no significant difference between the technology and functionality of the Logitech Rally and the Logitech Rally Plus. Both are part of the same modular system. If you’re looking for a mid-sized meeting room solution capable of covering up to 10 seats, the Rally should be enough for you in the standard kit.

If you’re in need of a more comprehensive coverage system for your meetings, you can upgrade to the Rally Plus. This kit comes with additional microphone pods and soundbars to help upgrade your meeting room layout and cover anywhere between 16 and 46 seats. The bonus Roommate solution also comes with the Rally Plus. Of course, you could always start with the basic Rally system and add your own additional modular tools at your leisure.

Alternatively, you might prefer to stick with the smaller Logitech Rally mini for personal rooms, or even the Logitech Rally bar for your mid-sized conferencing spaces.
