RingCentral has confirmed several new features are coming to Rooms designed to allow for interactive experiences in hybrid working environments.
Some of the features were announced earlier this month, and now the company has revealed that Whiteboard for RingCentral Rooms will be available coming to the platform.
The updates are designed to make hybrid meetings more accessible for those both attending in person and remotely.
A RingCentral blog states: “With hybrid and remote work a permanent reality for many of us, video meetings are now the gold standard for bringing teams together. In fact, our schedules are more packed with video meetings than ever before.
“But the bonanza of meetings has its drawbacks. From tedious routines to video fatigue, it’s easy for workers and entire teams to lose focus in the monotony.
“Meetings should be engaging, interactive, and intuitive to not only keep everyone focused but also foster collaboration and productivity—similar to the experience of a physical meeting room.
Whiteboard for RingCentral Rooms
RingCentral says that Whiteboard for RingCentral Rooms allows users to co-create and collaborate with other participants regardless of their working location.
The software is designed to replicate whiteboards in physical meeting rooms, with every participant able to write, draw, and add graphics.
The whiteboard includes key features like a minimap to easily navigate through the canvas and a “bring everyone to me” button to allow colleagues to find each other instantly.
Other features include sticky notes to allow for thoughts or comments to be written down and pinned for later reference.
Users can also add shapes and a magic highlighter to emphasize specific sectors of text or notes.
RingCentral has also recently expanded its offering for the RingCentral for Microsoft Teams platform by integrating SMS and fax messaging.
The integration means users can now send and receive SMS messages and faxes without leaving the Teams app.
