‘Our Web Client has No Demands of IT Staff’

Pridis has removed some of the strain on IT teams with the launch of its web-based attendant console, according to Pridis Consultant Ronald Wijnands. 

The web client for Connecsy Cloud was released last week, joining the cloud-based desktop app and on-premises version of the console. 

Speaking to UC Today, Wijnands said the client is ideal for remote working. 

“We see that a lot of customers are coming from the on-premises situations and moving towards more cloud-based products,” he said. 

“The demand is for more cloud-based operations that are easy to deploy for an employee to work from anyway”

“The web-based client fits perfectly because there is demand from customers to have attendants working from home.” 

The web client also frees up IT support teams to work on more pressing matters because they are not required to buy and install the product on a server, or even maintain a desktop client and install updates. The maintenance of the web application is carried out by Pridis and is included in the monthly subscription. 

All the IT teams have to do is authorize an individual attendant to use the software in a web browser. 

The new client is available now, with Pridis in the process of rolling it out to customers. Wijnands said that more features are set to be added over the coming months. 

Pridis has also worked with customers to help them set their users up with secure connections to work from home, giving them access to CRM systems and visibility of their colleagues’ presence, 

Future Updates

The Connecsy Cloud web client is, at this stage, focused on the RingCentral and Microsoft Teams ecosystems, which is where Pridis’ has extensive knowledge. This includes the platform from the likes of Avaya, Unify and Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, which are powered by RingCentral’s UCaaS technology. 

There are also plans to expand its reach in the future. 

“We will be able to offer the same experience within the Microsoft Teams environment,” Wijnands said. 

“With Teams, there is already a SIP connection, but we are working on a way where we won’t need a SIP connection; it will just be a native integration. 

“It has required quite a lot of R&D because Microsoft hasn’t released the APIs yet, but it will be quite special when we launch.”
