Avocor, a worldwide leader in collaboration display solutions, announced today that is teaming up with Zoom Video Communications, to make it easy for customers to have the most advanced video conferencing solutions that intuitively work together out of the box and are supremely easy to use. The collaboration kicks off with an integration between Avocor and Zoom Rooms for Touch, Zoom’s software-based conference room solution that runs on large touch displays. We spoke to Dana Corey, GM & VP of Sales at Avocor whilst he was on their stand at ISE 2018.

“This is an evolution of our partnership. We start with Zoom Room and our alliance means best in class touch and performance for the Zoom environment. We are massively excited with our partnership, their product requires high quality touch but at good price points and that’s where we come in.”

The first integration of Zoom with Avocor is Zooms Rooms for Touch. Zoom Rooms changed room-based communications as the first software-based video conference room system. An alternative to inflexible, cloud-unfriendly, overpriced legacy hardware room systems, it enables companies to easily set up powerful DIY (do-it-yourself) conference rooms across their entire organisation. Zoom Rooms features wireless content sharing, high-quality video and audio conferencing with up to 500 interactive video participants, and integrations with popular calendaring systems. Zoom Rooms for Touch is a mode of Zoom Rooms software that runs on large touch displays. Because video conferencing involves both local and remote participants, adding an Avocor display enables a large central visual point in each physical room, from conference room to huddle room to executive office, that seamlessly integrates with the Zoom Rooms for Touch solution. Adding a large interactive display helps with collaboration whiteboarding accuracy as well as viewing detail and seeing non-verbal communication within the entire gallery view of participants.

To simplify buying the solution, Avocor will provide bundles with Zoom’s software pre-installed, in various size, performance and pricing options catered to fit each customer’s need, application and budget, through their reseller channel and will look to attach other best-in-class tools from partners that provide a superior experience with the same ease-of-use that is synonymous with Zoom and Avocor.

Beyond bundled solutions, Avocor and Zoom are exploring creating proprietary solutions and applications to provide an advanced experience that integrates the sophistication of each system and enhances them being used together.

UC Today saw Avocor’s initial offering with Zoom at ISE 2018 in Amsterdam at booth 13-C110.

“Zoom is focused on simplifying the customer experience. Working with Avocor is a great way to do that,” said Oded Gal, head of product for Zoom.

“Our systems work incredibly well together and both have been designed to be both robust and easy-to-use. We want to further enhance the customer experience (CX) by taking guesswork out of the hardware and software selection and providing simple solutions to give the customer what they need right out of the box.”
