Global leader in workplace technology, Crestron, recently announced an update to its award-winning collection of Unified Communication conferencing tools with the new Crestron Flex MX. This is the first product from Crestron that will offer both native capabilities, and support for BYOD at the same time.

The Flex MX offering will update and transform the way that companies provide video conferencing, by offering the flexibility to connect with anyone, in any space, from any platform. Crestron believes that this will set a new standard for genuinely versatile communication. According to Executive Vice President of Technology and Product, Ranjan Singh from Crestron, the focus of the business has always been on delivering tools to simplify workflows and boost productivity. The new offering from Crestron supports this goal.

Setting a New Standard for Conferencing

The Crestron Flex MX product comes with the sensational flexibility that businesses need to thrive in this new landscape. It can run native Microsoft Teams software or software from Zoom. Additionally, you can switch seamlessly to BYOD mode for any other conferencing software too.

The Flex MX product offers native and organic experiences for those using Zoom Rooms and Microsoft Teams. However, guests still have the option to plug in their devices and use any software that they’re already using. This reduces the concern that meeting rooms might not support a user’s call. The capability offered by Crestron Flex MX is unprecedented among UC products and introduces a new standard for streamlined collaboration and connectivity.

What’s more, Crestron Flex MX also simplifies the room display connection, too, only needing a single cable to connect. Features also include:

  • Full 360-degree microphone array
  • Easy-to-use functionality
  • USB and HDMI connectivity for video conferencing and content sharing
  • Intelligent 150-degree field of vision camera

Crestron wants to enhance the millions of meetings that take place in businesses every day. This one-touch meeting room product works seamlessly with other solutions and enhances productivity with exceptional ease of use. According to the Director of Strategy for UC at Crestron, Joseph Sarrasin, the Flex Series, and the new Flex MX models eliminate the issue with attendees using their own UC platforms in a meeting.

The Flex Series is the only product available today that allows people to work together no matter where they are, or what web application they’re using. Crestron Flex’s line of products also includes solutions for all kinds of meeting spaces, from boardrooms to huddle rooms. Solutions include desktop phones, smart soundbars, visual and audio conferencing, and more.

Crestron’s Flex MX for Microsoft Teams is planned to be available from today,  the 22nd of May, while the Zoom Rooms edition will roll out in Summer 2020.
