Avaya Partner Brings Collaboration Coverage to Wales

International Cloud Partner for Avaya, and Innovation Partner of the Year, 4Net Technologies recently announced that it has agreed to provide Welsh councils with shared contact centre platforms . The initiative, funded by the Welsh Government has been dubbed “Connecting Wales,” and it will allow public sector groups to access an advanced digital platform for communication and collaboration.

Welsh councils will now have access to a communication stack that’s both affordable and efficient, allowing them to but customers at the heart of their business decisions. This means that the public service operations will be able to give Welsh citizens more control over the kind of services they can access, and the information they receive. The shared contact centre platform will also allow for better collaborative working in the public sector.

Transforming Welsh Councils

Wrexham and Vale of Glamorgan councils have already implemented a strategy to expand the availability of their online services for customers, ensuring that they’re efficient and easy to use. Currently, the Vale of Glamorgan is at the head of this initiative.

The solution will be integrated into the Agile Cloud platform from 4Net, which provides state-of-the-art Contact Centre and UC services to central and local government organisations. This will help to drive resilience, simplicity, and user productivity for modern communication strategies.

Managing Director of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Rob Thomas, said that this new project seeks to deliver a more efficient and scalable digital solution to the Welsh Public Sector. Working with 4Net is an excellent opportunity for Wales to provide substantial benefits to customers and organisations alike. The Minister for Housing and Local Government, Julie James, also commented in a recent press release, stating that the project is an excellent example of what happens when public sector organisations and local authorities work together.
