Avaya’s New CCaaS Platform

UC Today attended GITEX 2019. One of the world’s biggest technology events, GITEX, takes place annually in Dubai and focuses on various areas of technology including communications.
CX provision is an area full of innovation and cutting edge technology. Avaya has long been associated with the most advanced solutions in the on premise provision of contact centre platforms but now they are targeting the cloud with the launch of a brand new CCaaS platform. The new product, IX-CC, is a cloud native Contact Centre as-a-Service platform offering customers all the benefits of cloud based deployments.
Launching IX-CC was Vice President and CTO of Avaya International, Ahmed Helmy. UC Today spoke to Helmy to understand more about the new platform and it development.
The launch of IX-CC was also announced in conjunction with a new partnership with Microsoft. Avaya will leverage Microsoft’s global network of data centres hosting IX-CC on Azure. Initially availability of the new solution will be confined to Abu Dhabi and Dubai, but Avaya have confirmed that it will be expanded to partners and customers globally over the coming months.
Helmy tells Patrick about the development of the new platform including details on its architecture and features. Avaya have included various features from existing portfolio of CX solutions but have also added a suite of new cloud enabled enhancements.
