Avaya has announced the arrival of new devices, intended to support team collaboration. The solutions include an enhanced Avaya Vantage K155 system with Amazon Alexa built in. There’s also a new Avaya Huddle Camera HC010 and IP Conference Phone B129 available to consumers.
The updated Vantage K155 has been augmented and redesigned to deliver better ease-of-use and enable improved productivity for home workers. A horizontal touchscreen and physical keypad allow for easy interaction. The system also works alongside the Avaya Spaces platform for collaboration and builds on the Avaya Composable Home Office solution. The Composable Home Office uses the OneCloud selection of CPaaS, CCaaS, and UCaaS from Avaya to create more efficient and productive home office interactions for customer service agents and employees.

Equipped with wideband audio, an HD camera and a reliable wireless connection, the incredible Vantage K155 has plenty of great functionality to offer. Users can also enjoy new “screen shifting” tech to support flexibility in meetings. With this feature, users can easily move meeting participants and content onto a larger screen at any moment. One touch on the Vantage can even open the same meeting on a computer or laptop for better presentation options.
Amazon Alexa functionality within the Vantage portfolio will give Avaya users easy access to a convenient smart assistant. Users will be able to ask their Vantage to dial into an upcoming meeting or tell them what the next event is on their calendar for the day. The Alexa solution is currently available in Vantage devices within Canada and the US.
According to Chief Product Officer and EVP of Avaya, Anthony Bartolo, the company is supporting thousands of workers in maintaining productivity when working from home. As companies begin to return to the office, staff need to maintain the same capabilities they’re used to at home. The Amazon Alexa function will make Avaya products even more compelling for today’s teams.
What Else is New from Avaya?
Alongside the Avaya Vantage K155 solution with Alexa access, the company is also introducing two newly enhanced devices for hybrid teams. The Avaya USB HC010 Huddle camera offers quick and easy high-definition camera support with 4x digital zoom to enhance video meetings. Alternatively, the Avaya IP B129 phone supports conversations with up to 12 participants in meetings through the immersive Avaya OmniSound technology.
The B129 phone users four microphones and beam-forming technology along with USB and Bluetooth connectivity to enhance meetings and empower employees.
