Leading manufacturer of conference phones, Konftel have recently upgraded their product portfolio to address the needs of the expanding market for remote workers. Taking a step into the personal speaker phone market, Konftel launched the “Konftel Ego” in the summer of 2016 – a portable device that’s ideal for Skype for Business conferences and professional meetings among remote workers on-the-go.

Since it was originally announced, the Konftel Ego received a significant amount of attention, and even won the “Red Dot Award” for excellent product design – thanks to its user-friendly nature and attractive format.

Sound Quality on the Go

When speaking for the development of the new Konftel Ego speaker phone, Product Manager Torbjorn Karlsson noted that although Konftel already had an extensive range of traditional conference room phones, they felt it was time to adapt to changes in user behavior. According to Karlsson: “We’re increasingly on-the-go and want considerable flexibility when it comes to where and when we can hold our remote meetings.”

For Konftel, the “Konftel Ego” represents the answer to remote collaboration needs. A portable and personal speaker phone, it can be set up wherever and whenever it suits you, whether you’re sitting in a café, hotel room, or conference room – and there’s no compromise on sound quality. Despite its compact size, the Konftel Ego offers rich HD sound thanks to the OmniSound audio technology. Whether playing music or making calls, the Konftel Ego delivers clear sound through wired USB or Bluetooth connections.

Thanks to NFC support, Bluetooth connectivity is easy to use, allowing for wireless speaker phone access with the built-in device battery. The battery can last, fully-charged, for up to twelve hours of use. The LCD screen shows enabled features for clear and easy use.
