Grandstream, one of the market leaders in award-winning SIP unified communication solutions, recently announced the arrival of the latest offering in their GRP series. The GRP series of carrier-grade IP phones offer state-of-the-art communication to companies of all sizes. The latest solution, the GRP2616 is a high-end IP phone that offers support for 6 SIP accounts, 6 lines, dual-band WiFi, and Bluetooth 5.0. What’s more, this new IP phone comes with a host of next-generation capabilities, including no less than 48 multi-purpose keys, two LCD screens, and even swappable faceplates.

Designed to facilitate the needs of busy desktop workers, the GRP2616 offers a simple and easy-to-use endpoint for today’s companies.

Introducing the Grandstream GRP2616

The GRP2616, like the rest of the GRP series, aims to offer simple mass deployment options and easy management, alongside next-generation features. The GRP series works with the Grandstream Device Management System for centralised deployment and provisioning. Some of the most exciting features of the new phone include:

  • 3-inch colour LCD with an extra 2.4-inch colour LCD
  • 6 SIP accounts and 6 lines
  • Integrated dual-band 802.11ac WiFi along with Bluetooth 5.0
  • Support for up to 48 multi-purpose keys
  • Dual-switched gigabit ports and PoE
  • Swappable faceplates for easier customisation
  • Industry-leading protection when it comes to business security, including tools for secure boot, random default passwords, unique security certificates, encrypted data storage and more
  • Dual firmware images for enhanced reliability
  • Support for all major voice codecs
  • Unified firmware across all other models in the GRP2600 series

A New Easy to Deploy Phone from Grandstream

The latest offering from Grandstream is another example of the state-of-the-art technology and easy-to-deploy experience that users can get from Grandstream. As well as all the features included above, users can enjoy the peace of mind and simplicity that comes with easy management and zero provisioning. That’s thanks to the new cloud platform offered by Grandstream, the Grandstream Device Management System. Otherwise known as GDMS, the cloud offering is currently in beta mode, but is due to be officially released in November.

GDMS will provide users with a secure and centralized interface where they can easily manage the deployments of their Grandstream phones, and provision new users. The GRP2616 offering from GrandStream will be available to purchase around the world through a wide variety of distribution channels. The recommended retail price is around $189.
