Jabra and Lenovo are collaborating to offer a hybrid working meeting room system which is optimised for use with Microsoft Teams Rooms.

The room system is made up of the Jabra PanaCast 50 and the Lenovo ThinkSmart Core Kit.

The solution has been designed to enable companies to easily convert their conference rooms into hybrid workplaces with collaboration and productivity capabilities.

Aurangzeb Khan, SVP of Intelligent Vision Systems at Jabra, said: “The typical meeting is not what it used to be, and it’s time for meeting room technology to catch up.

“We’re delighted to unite the PanaCast 50’s unique capabilities with Lenovo’s innovative solutions to equip offices with solutions to foster inclusive and interactive meetings for everyone, regardless of where they are.

“The system works at the touch of a button and can connect employees seamlessly whether they’re in-person or connecting from home.”

The plug-and-play room system, which includes certified Teams Rooms software, is a first for Jabra.

Jabra’s PanaCast 50 has 180-degree, panoramic 4K video and works with the Microsoft Teams Rooms front row layout for inclusivity and engagement.

The PanaCast 50 also has Dynamic Composition, an intelligent camera technology which Jabra developed alongside Microsoft, providing a close-up view of participants when they are speaking.

Lenovo’s ThinkSmart Core Kit includes an 11th Gen Intel Core vPro processor, the ThinkSmart Controller, and a 10 inch, 10-point touch HD display to enable users to conduct meetings and share content with remote colleagues.

The ThinkSmart Core has the connectivity to support any meeting room configuration, a port for audio and visual accessories, and integrated cable management.

According to Jabra, the ThinkSmart Controller has a simple to use Teams Rooms interface, and Integrated Infrared sensors can turn the system on when it detects a participant has entered the room.

Shannon MacKay, General Manager of Worldwide Smart Collaboration Business at Lenovo, said: “We’re excited to collaborate with Jabra to provide businesses with a way to bring their conference rooms into the hybrid work era.”

“Combining the power of our ThinkSmart Core solution with the Jabra PanaCast 50’s intelligent video system and Microsoft Teams Rooms technology will allow us to empower users to have more productive and inclusive meetings no matter where attendees are located.”

Lenovo has also recently unveiled an AI-assisted ThinkCentre Desktop and released a ‘world-first’ collaboration bar.

Jabra took part in a UC Today round table discussion on endpoints for hybrid working at the end of June.
