Now that BYOD, or ‘bring your own device’, opportunities are gaining more popularity in the age of hybrid and remote meetings; companies are facing new challenges. Barco and Shure, two leaders in the technology landscape, are coming together to help companies create unique collaborative experiences in a more impressive way.

Shure’s audio system Ecosystem will now pair with Barco Clickshare Conference instantly. This should allow customers to enjoy high-quality audio in a remote and hybrid working environment, regardless of your meeting space.

According to Barco VP of Global Alliances, David Fitzgerald, clients will now be able to rely on robust certified offerings through the Clickshare Conference products and Shure networked audio solutions. Users will have access to an engaging videoconferencing environment where high-quality video and audio meetings are made easy, thanks to seamless wireless connections.

Delivering Simple and Effective Hybrid Meetings

In the age of hybrid work, David notes that the collaboration between Shure and Barco will allow for more meaningful and straightforward meetings requiring just a single click. The solution will be ready for any collaboration platform on any device, with access to Steerable coverage technology. Users can also expect high-quality, secure audio with innovative wireless conferencing, flexible options to suit all meeting rooms, and Shure IntelliMix DSP to reduce noise and echo in meetings.

Available with a single click, the simple but effective meeting experience supports the teams of the future. This partnership follows Barco’s recently hybrid working study. The report found workers are predicting a massive rise in hybrid meetings during the next 12 months. Over half of employees also said they prefer to host video calls from their laptop, rather than using an in-room system.

Shure’s recent meetings research also notes that 96 percent of professionals feel frustrated with their virtual meetings. 4 out of 5 of the most significant frustrations experienced by teams relates to audio. Thanks to the Shure DSP IntelliMix P300 technology, as well as the ANIUSB-MATRIX, both certified for ClickShare Conference, users will have access to flexible signal routing.

This new solution will support seamless connectivity between laptops, rooms and mobile devices. Combined with Microflex Wireless or Advanced microphones, clear and intelligent sound reproduction will keep teams on the same page.

Ready for Hybrid Working

When aligned with the ClickShare Conference Experience, Shure’s solutions will enable a more flexible way of working for hybrid teams, particularly in the age of BYOM. Bring Your Own Meeting is growing increasingly popular, allowing users to walk into any meeting room, plug in their ClickShare Conferencing button, and host a meeting from their preferred device. You can even share apps wirelessly to a room display.

Shure’s Microflex microphones make audio quality even better too. According to Director for Technology Partnerships at Shure, Paul Gunia, the Barco Clickshare Conference system and Shure technology will help bring people closer together. These tools work seamlessly with all of the leading platforms for video conferencing, including Cisco Webex, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
