Yamaha‘s ADECIA RM-TT Tabletop Microphone has been certified for Microsoft Teams.

According to Yamaha, the tabletop solution has met the medium-sized room standards for high-quality audio, which it believes to be the hallmark of the Teams user experience.

The RM-TT microphone has automatic voice tracking, noise reduction, echo cancellation, auto gain control, and reverberation suppression.

Marcus-Michael Müller, Manager, Sales & Marketing, Unified Communications at Yamaha Music Europe, said: “The future of education and business communications demands conferencing solutions that are easy to install and deliver pristine audio quality.”

“The RM-TT microphone of ADECIA Tabletop Solution meets all those standards. And as a device that is Certified for Microsoft Teams, organisations can confidently select it as a part of the Microsoft Team experience.”

The newly certified tabletop microphone integrates with ADECIA’s range of customisable conferencing solutions, including the ADECIA Ceiling System, RM-CR remote conference processor, VXL1-16P Dante line array speaker, and the SWR2311P-10G PoE network switch.

Combined with Yamaha’s RM-CR processor, the RM-TT microphone’s voice tracking capability will automatically select the nearest microphone to the speaker. Even if a participant moves around the room as they are speaking, their voice will be tracked by the closest microphone to them. In classrooms, microphones can be set up to ensure all the students, as well as the teacher, are effectively picked up.

The directional mode of each microphone pod can be selected to suit the room’s needs. Options include omnidirectional, bidirectional, unidirectional, super-cardioid, hyper-cardioid, and toroidal.

The complete ADECIA solution automatically detects and configures all the components for their room environment. Set up takes four simple steps via the system’s configurator, according to Yamaha.

Albert Kooiman, Senior Director, Microsoft Teams Devices Partner Engineering and Certification at Microsoft Corp., said: “In a world of hybrid meetings, meeting room audio quality is key to creating equity between people inside the meeting room and remotely.”

“Yamaha has a long tradition of delivering audio excellence, and with achieving certification for Microsoft Teams, the RM-TT brings quality in-room and remote audio to the Teams experience.”

Yamaha’s RM-TT microphone joins a growing list of Microsoft Teams-certified devices. Neat received Microsoft Teams certification recently. Five9’s contact centre was Teams certified last year, along with Shure’s Intellimix Room and others.
