Recently, BT announced that it had managed to complete the purchase of the group “IP Trade”, providers of solutions for unified communication and collaboration in command-and-control centres, and trading floor environments. The acquisition was completed after approval from the UK CMA (Competitions and Markets Authority).

As per an announcement on the first of February, the acquisition of the new company will enhance the ability of BT customers to unify their control-room and trading solutions. Teams will have the opportunity to work together across global and complicated communities far more effectively, using an innovative spread of video, speech, and messaging, with the best range of mobile and fixed applications and devices.

Technology groups and operations groups will begin to integrate their systems with control room IT and specialist trading floor solutions, as well as combining on-premise solutions with the cloud in the way most suitable for everyone. Firms will also have the option to better meet with regulatory obligations for compliance.
