Strengthens team with a number of high profile appointments

Marston’s Telecoms is delighted to announce a number of high profile appointments to further bolster its offering to channel partners. The company has ambitious growth plans and is keen to boost its management, customer support and sales teams to further support and collaborate with its reseller base. As a sign of its ongoing commitment to grow, significant investment has been made to offer channel partners technological advantage.

The Marston’s Telecoms team is headed up by:

Mike McMinn, Managing Director Marston’s Telecoms Ltd
Mike is an IT expert, including 36 years’ experience gained mostly within the retail and hospitality sectors. Mike conceived the idea of creating a Telecoms business and with the support of Marston’s PLC, created Marston’s Telecoms in 2008 leading the business to where it stands today.

Twice placed in the CIO Top 100 (2016/17), Mike has a credible and established reputation in the technology industry and is well connected across global technology businesses such as Microsoft and SAP, as well as throughout the UK. Mike is also Group IT Director for Marston’s PLC.

Mike is delighted to announce several recent additions to the team:

Tony Ford, Operations Director
Tony has extensive experience gained across diverse industries and companies ranging from retail management, Apple, British Airways and local and national government. For the past 17 years he has held senior positions with UK Telecoms and Internet businesses with experience gained in operations, product development and systems. Tony holds fellowships with the Chartered Management Institute and the Institute of Entrepreneurs and Enterprise. He is a professional and committee member of the Chartered Institute of IT and has an MBA in Media Management.

Tony said:

Significant investment in our Telecoms business will enable us to move quickly to serve new demand, enabling our channel partners to transform their business and grow new revenue streams.’’

Mike Paglia, Network Manager
Mike gained significant specialist experience building his knowledge of ISP and corporate networks. In 1994, he founded Hampshire’s first Internet café. He went on to acquire the Internet business supplying the café and built it into a successful ISP which was then sold in 2003. He has worked for large corporate companies with more than £1.2bn turnover and has been responsible for managing substantial budgets.

Mike brings a wealth of experience in managing networks and is focussed on providing channel partners with a growth model, which serves to drive profitability.

David Ryder, Account Manager.
David spent five years at BT Business as a Corporate Account Manager in Data and Telecoms. He is proud of having introduced forward thinking and innovative ideas in line with the customer’s business strategy, which have delivered excellent results. His experience covers the mobility, fixed voice, WAN / LAN and IT sectors. David has been responsible nurturing customer relationships and ensuring his customers received the attention and excellent service they deserve.
