According to VeloCloud Networks Inc, Mitani Sangyo Co. (A provider of IT services in Japan), will be selecting VeloCloud Cloud-hosted SD-WAN technology as its solution for powering Mitani’s UC (Unified Communications) needs. Reportedly, Mitani selected VeloCloud as its provider because it’s SD-WAN was able to offer the best quality of voice and video network connectivity solutions as Mitani begins to migrate its networks into the internet from MPLS.

Located in Kanazawa, Mitani is well-known for offering comprehensive IT services to its customers, from system integration to outsourcing solutions. The company offers client system integration services, alongside the construction of network security, packaged software, and other information-based infrastructure, as well as system and hardware maintenance and support systems. For a number of years, Mitani have been using MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) to connect workers and executives in Japan with each other, and its 17,000 employees across Vietnam.

Evolving Mitani’s Unified Communications Services

According to Mitani, Unified Communications is a mission-central application for business, and they can’t accept anything less than expertise when it comes to making sure that their network has the right underlying infrastructure. According to the manager of the 2nd Sales Section and Information System Division of Mitani, Munekatsu Okeyoshi, the VeloCloud SD-WAN offered the company everything they need in terms of functionality for their Unified Communications solutions – easily exceeding their benchmarks for video and voice quality. It also offered the reliability and security required for the enterprise to excel. Okeyoshi believes that Mitani will be able to see “significant savings” by simply replacing their legacy MPLS with the VeloCloud SD-Wan, while enhancing reliability and quality at the same time.

In Mitani’s current network architecture, the performance-sensitive and bandwidth-intensive UC system is running independently to the company data network in order to avoid impacting application throughput and productivity. The UC system is also in constant use throughout the company’s Vietnamese and Japanese offices, and the monthly costs for the dedicated network are growing more considerable. Though MPLS services can be very reliable, they are also very expensive to operate, and often time-consuming to upgrade. By switching to the SD-WAN offered by VeloCloud, Mitani will be able to augment their voice and video communications with lower costs and better quality performance.

An Incredible Upgrade for Mitani

The VeloCloud Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN will give enterprises like Mitani the chance to support their application-level growth, simplify branch implementations, and enhance network agility while delivering greater access to cloud services, enterprise applications and private data centres.

According to the chief marketing officer at NetOne systems, Fumihiko Shinoura, the company is thrilled that Mitani have chosen their VeloCloud powered Cloud-hosted SD-WAN solution. They believe that with VeloCloud SD-WAN, customers can access the resources that they need to overcome the performance, cost, and complexity challenges associated with traditional WAN, regardless of their geographical location.

VeloCloud is also thrilled to work with Mitani through NetOne Systems, and provide the company with a more cost-effective and valuable solution to their services. According to Michael Wood, the VP of Marketing for VeloCloud, the VeloCloud SD-WAN gives enterprises a chance to deploy wide-area networks up to 100x faster, while limiting risk and reducing costs by up to 3 times!
