Leading digital services and telecommunications company, Spark New Zealand, recently announced that they’d be bringing a brand-new UC suite to their portfolio with the help of BroadSoft – now a part of the Cisco group. BroadSoft is a global leader in the market for cloud communications, UC, team collaboration, and contact centre services. The company will now be working alongside Spark New Zealand to create “Spark Cloud Phone” powered by the BroadCloud calling platform.

The service is designed to support small and mid-sized businesses across New Zealand in their search for reliable and high-quality communication solutions. According to Spark New Zealand, their Cloud UC system from BroadSoft will provide them with a state-of-the-art SaaS delivery platform, through which they can deploy a complete, and efficient UC service with a flexible OpEX service model.

Delivering Exceptional Cloud Communications

Thanks to the support of the BroadCloud calling platform, Spark New Zealand can offer their Spark Cloud Phone customers a complete range of UC services. The solutions will be based on the BroadSoft UC-One application, which includes options for presence, and instant messaging, as well as mobile client support for remote workers. There’s also hosted voice, a soft client for computing devices, and a file sharing solution too, alongside video conferencing, and virtual meeting rooms.

According to the Managing Director of Worldwide Sales for Cisco Cloud Calling, Jonathan Reid, the organisation is thrilled to be working alongside Spark New Zealand to help them bring their cloud UC system to life on BroadCloud.

Building on Existing Reach in the NZ Market

Spark has already achieved incredible growth in the New Zealand market, with outstanding reach across a range of business customers. They also have a state-of-the-art engineering team behind the new product line for Spark Cloud Phone – a team that Cisco and BroadSoft are looking forward to working with as they begin to develop the new UC service during the first half of 2018.

In a press release about the upcoming portfolio of UC services, the Head of Business Marketing for Spark, Sally Gordon, announced that the brand is thrilled to be working alongside BroadSoft UC-One to bring their Spark Cloud environment into the marketplace. The company has frequently found that their business customers are always searching for new and improved calling solutions that help them to improve collaboration for their teams and scale easily in the competitive marketplace.

Thanks to the natural versatility of the cloud, Spark New Zealand believes that Cloud Phone will help their customers to tackle the challenges of digital transformation (DX) and maintain their edge in any marketplace.
