Twilio, a cloud communications platform provider with a passion for digital transformation recently announced the arrival of a new addition to their team. Sara Varni will be joining the group as Twilio’s chief marketing officer, using her in-depth skills and experience from years working as an SVP of marketing at Salesforce to inspire growth for the brand.

For more than a decade, Varni has specialised in delivering innovative cloud technology to the enterprise space. It’s safe to say that Sara’s experience ensuring high-powered customer experience (CX) solutions for Salesforce, and operating business solutions at a large scale will come in handy as she assists Twilio in reaching their own enterprise marketing goals.

A Specialist in Her Field

During a decade of working in the heart of Salesforce, Varni was responsible for a host of different challenges, including the positioning and go-to-market strategy for the company’s cloud flagship product “Sales Cloud”. Sara also acted as the chief marketing officer for Desk.com, a comprehensive customer service application for agile business.

A brief look at Varni’s history with the Salesforce brand is enough to show how instrumental she was to the smooth performance of the company. Varni was an important part of the Salesforce AppExchange team, where she worked alongside business partners to help them launch their own cloud solutions and leave the legacy world behind.

Before she joined Salesforce, Varni also worked in a mobile strategy role at E! Networks, using her bachelor’s degree in business administration to help drive progress for the brand.
