Investment in infrastructure is a critical facet of any businesses strategy, rife with potential pitfalls but also huge potential rewards. Nuvias, the value-added EMEA distributor, invited UC Today to attend the opening of their brand new headquarters in Woking, Surrey. On Monday we headed to Woking to take a look at the new building and speak to Nuvias to find out more about their newest site.
The diverse distribution group, founded in 2015, cover a wide range of technology solutions. Nuvias Group’s portfolio includes a range of solutions including ICT and Unified Communications. They currently focus on three areas: Cyber Security (based on the former Wick Hill); Advanced Networking (based on the former Zycko) and Unified Communications (based on the former SIPHON).
Since foundation Nuivas have experienced rapid growth and this is reflected in the investment made in the new headquarters. Over their last financial year Nuvias have grown their turnover by over 13% taking the total to over $500 million across the EMEA. Now the group consists of 21 locations across the EMEA with new offices in Austria, Switzerland and South Africa, as well as upgrading Nuvias regional hub locations in Dubai, Germany and France. Paul Eccleston, CEO of Nuvias, is incredibly proud of their impressive growth.
“We are anticipating growing faster next year than we did last year and we expect each of the individual practices to exceed forecasts. We are seeing that acceleration already within UC and security to I am incredibly excited about the future.”
Distributors rely on relationships with vendors, resellers and partners. Nuivas have recently added to their existing portfolio of products by partnering with new vendors such as Juniper Networks, Nokia, Malwarebytes, HID Global and BlueJeans.
As well as the impressive figures and geographical expansion Nuivas have also scooped a number of industry awards including ‘Distributor of the Year’ in the Network Computing Awards for the last three years consecutively.
The new EMEA headquarters is a modern office, situated conveniently in Woking, boasting over 13,000 square feet of office space. Such an investment will only provide an asset to Nuivas staff and their partners in turn. Paul explained more.
“The new EMEA HQ in Woking is part of our ongoing plans for growth and increased EMEA reach. It will be a focal point for EMEA-wide activities and a centre for training and development, as well as a location for hosting strategic meetings with our customers and vendor partners. It is also available as a resource centre for all our partners.”
During the event to celebrate the opening of the new headquarters we were also able to speak to Steve Harris who is EVP for the Unified Comms Practice at Nuvias.
Lifesize were just one of Nuvias’ partner community who attended the event and were more than happy to eulogise about working with the one of the main players in the new generation of distributors.
Steve explained how important Unified Communications, and their UC partners, are to Nuvias as UC represents the fastest growing aspect of their current portfolio. Their UC business expanded by over 18% in the last financial year.
“We have launched the UC practice across Europe and it has been really interesting. Our growth rate is well above average in a rapidly growing market and we will always aim for that. Our partners are crucial to that, they enable us to be part of our customer’s success”
Nuvias will aim for their new EMEA headquarters to act as an important facet for their continued growth and success within the region in 2018 and beyond.
