RingCentral, a popular communication company focused on delivering high-quality services to business and enterprise services, recently announced their decision to strengthen their G-Suite integration with their Office system, in an attempt to improve productivity and efficiency. The company noted that it firmly believed that enterprises require an anytime, anywhere solution for communications if they want a truly modern and mobile workforce.

Since RingCentral announced their decision to collaborate with Google during 2016, they have continuously expanded their global footprint and enhanced their integration solutions by adding functionalities for users to initiate calls and send messages from their browser. Clients can even log into their account for RingCentral using a Gmail email, schedule meetings through Gmail and manage a host of tasks to streamline the work process.

New G-Suite Integrated Features

Following the success of the Google collaboration, RingCentral are now announcing new integrated features across their RingCentral Office product portfolio, designed to make it faster and easier for users to benefit from a host of features within G-Suite. The latest integrations include:

  • Click-to-SMS and Dial: This refers to the ability to click on a phone number in a Chrome browser to make instant calls or send SMS messages through the RingCentral chrome extension, in order to improve works stream productivity
  • Login: Users on G-Suite will now be able to use their email credentials to log into RingCentral accounts for a more unified experience across desktop and mobile
  • Google Contacts: Using the RingCentral for the extension on Google Chrome, users will be able to merge their RingCentral and Google contacts for easier access to all contacts at once
  • Meetings and Voicemail: Users can listen to their voicemail messages without logging out of Gmail, and even schedule conference calls in their calendar directly. These services work through Google Hangouts for quick connections to up to 1000 participants at a time
  • Fax from Google Docs: Using the fax plug-in designed by RingCentral, users will be able to fax documents using their RingCentral account, reducing the need to print or download documents
  • Collaboration with Google Drive: Using the RingCentral Glip option for collaboration and alongside RingCentral Meetings, users will be able to import Google drive documents and work seamlessly wherever they are
  • Embed communications: Using RingCentral’s open-source API solutions, users will have more opportunities to integrate their communications with their Cloud business apps

Further Developments Scheduled for 2017

This isn’t the last that we’ll hear of updates between RingCentral and G-Suite users however; the company is also planning further integrations throughout the rest of the year. According to the brand, during 2017, users will be able to access a more efficient process for provisioning using RingCentral, as well as an enhanced scheduling experience for Hangouts, and the ability to archive voicemails, fax, texts, and voice recordings within Google Drive.
