First up Myles gives Patrick a background on NFON and their business history throughout Europe but also specifically within the UK.

Myles and Patrick then discuss how the market has changed and developed over the past few years. Myles also examines some of the reasons that organisations have been reluctant to migrate to cloud telephony, historically.

“We’ve seen a massive shift in the market over the last 18 months, previously cloud voice vendors have been pushing the market, telling them you need to move voice into the cloud – Certainly over the last 12 months we have seen that completely flip around and we are finding now it’s the market that is driving that change.”

With an apparent change in the market both in the UK, and more widely, NFON are able to service a larger spectrum of customers within the partner community and more widely. From organisations with relatively few users up to customers with thousands, their proposition can cater for the whole market.

“Why would we want to buy a traditional PBX that’s out of date six months after we put it in?”

Finally Myles and Patrick discuss May’s UC EXPO and how it went from an NFON perspective. Their integration with Skype was of huge interest to delegates
