If you were to walk through any busy shopping centre, visit any local bar or walk down any high street, you can pretty much guarantee that you’ll come across someone using an iPhone or iPad at some point or other. So ingrained is the Apple brand within our society that it can also be said to define the generation we live in…but how does this affect business communications?

There is no doubt the iPhone and iPad have dominated the world at a consumer level, but by reviewing the American-based cloud-based phone systems developer, RingCentral’s, solution for iPhone and iPad we can determine how well these products can be used for business communications.

Before we continue with a more in depth discussion of the features, benefits and possible disadvantages of this product, however, we must stress that we do not sell this phone and this article is written purely to offer professional advice to those who need it.

Look and feel – how does this software look on your iPad/iPhone or Watch?

Once downloaded from the iTunes store, users can open RingCentral for iPhone and iPad by simply tapping the icon located on the home screen of their device. After waiting briefly for the app to load, users can then begin navigating their way through the highly user-friendly interface that grants fast, hassle free access to the abundance of productivity enhancing efficiency boosting features directly from their laptop, smartphone and/or tablet device.

 

What can it do?

With the RingCentral for iPhone and iPad app, users can manage their phone system from the palm of their hand at any time and from any location without having to step foot inside the office. By giving them a single business identity for calling, messaging and faxing, RingCentral give users the freedom to come and go as they please without ever having to worry about clients and colleagues not being able to contact them on their business number. As well as improving communication levels and securing client retention through building the reputation of the business as a place that hires reliable staff, this solution also doubles the efficiency of employees both as individuals and in teams.

What are our favourite bits?

We think this app is a great tool for increasing the mobility of users and giving them the freedom to progress forward without the hindrance of being tied to an office. Aside from all the ones we have previously mentioned, another one of the things that really stood out to us was the fact that users can hold interactive meetings with contacts listed in their address book through either the video calling, instant chat or group chat features. As well as helping to improve the collaboration of workers by allowing them to connect and share information at any time and from any location, this feature also improves peer to peer communication by cleverly mirroring the way people communicate at a personal level through social media platforms such as WhatsApp or Facebook.

 

Who would benefit most from this phone?

Obviously any one that wants to use their iPad or iPhone for business as well as personal use would benefit enormously from this programme. However, we also feel that mobile workers and people who are looking for a solution that allows them to control all communicative aspects of their life from a single device that sits comfortably in the palm of their hand, then we think they would find the RingCentral for iPhone and iPad to be a more than worthy investment.

UC Today Opinion

As a simple to use application that drastically improve the communication quality of its users and helps transform an iPhone or iPad into a lot more than just a tool for updating Facebook statuses or messaging the better half to let them know you’ll be home late for dinner, the RingCentral App really is outstanding and we strongly recommend it to all.
