What has been your business/work highlight of 2024 so far?

Who is your business hero and why?

From a pure business perspective, Elon Musk has inspired me to build a business for true scale. “Building the machine that builds the machine at scale”….is a very hard problem and I look at everything through that lens. iPILOT is that machine for UC.

What’s the biggest business mistake you’ve made and what did you learn from it?

The biggest mistake I’ve made and continue to make it trusting and doing handshake deals. I always do what I say I will do and I expect others to do the same. However, that isn’t always a reality. It’s easy to say what I learned is to not trust or do things like that, but handshakes also build trust and stronger relationships with like minded people. This means I will most likely continue to make this mistake, but hopefully less often.

What’s the most inspirational book you’ve ever read and why?

I like to keep/make things simple. Maybe it’s because I was exposed to it at very young age, but “The Little Engine That Could” continues to inspire me. Simple yet effective message that stands the test of time. Believe in yourself, keep working hard everyday, don’t let what others say bother you, and you will accomplish your goals. Period!

What’s the biggest challenge you face in your role in 2024?

The biggest challenge we face this year and every year is hiring like minded people to join our amazing team. People that want to work harder AND smarter, be part of a family-like organization, innovate at a rapid pace, and care about the company that supports us all over individual accolades.

What technology will have the greatest impact on your business this year and why?

Like many businesses, AI will most likely have the greatest impact on our business. We are integrating it into iPILOT to do some pretty amazing things to increase productivity and the customer experience. Stay tuned.
