In 2016, the leading provider of cloud business communication and collaboration solutions, RingCentral, announced the delivery of RingCentral Global Office, a single global Unified Communications as a Service solution that’s designed specifically for multinational enterprises. So what did this mean for enterprises across the globe?

Connecting workforces on a phenomenal scale, RingCentral’s Global Office reduces the high costs and complexity associated with maintaining several legacy on-premise systems for PBX through a single cloud solution.

The RingCentral Global Office is built on the new Global Connect Network, which is a service delivery solution that has been established from the ground-up to provide a secure, scalable, and high-quality service for unified communications across a huge geographical scale. According to the chief Executive for the company, Vlad Shmunis, when RingCentral Office was introduced, the brand automatically transformed the PBX legacy market using a single solution to support multiple locations in the U.S. At the same time, RingCentral delivered simple all-inclusive per-user pricing solutions to bypass the concerns of standard and more expensive pricing models that were still common among on-premise vendors.

At Last, a Worthwhile Solution

Although vendors have attempted to solve global communication issues for some time now, simply by providing international numbers across various countries – this hasn’t given global employees the experience that comes with being able to communicate with their customers as a local entity. As such, Ring Central Global Office is a new and groundbreaking service that can help to utilise the full power of the entire Global Connection Network, enabling a more local service through an extensive cloud solution.

The executive vice president of Business Development at Pyramid Analytics, Herbert Ochtman said that their phone systems have traditionally been one of their major IT expenses, and that they have been anxious to lower the cost that they are incurring while improving quality at the same time. Of course, for the company, managing such an achievement with a workforce distributed across Israel, Western Europe, and the U.S. meant implementing a communication platform that is easy to administer and deploy, as well as being cost-effective. The RingCentral Global Office now gives companies like Pyramid Analytics a chance to connect parts of their global network in a way that is affordable and efficient – taking integrated productivity to the next level.

Improving the Mobile Workforce

As the mobile workforce becomes more of a natural solution for businesses across the globe, enterprises are being forced to seek out flexible solutions for unified communications that allows for a more collaborative environment on a global scale. RingCentral Global Office may be the answer, and it is now rolling out on a global basis, offering services such as:

  • Local caller ID
  • Local phone numbers
  • Carrier-grade service quality
  • Included international calling bundles
  • Worldwide extension dialling
  • Emergency services
  • Number porting

As companies continue to expand across nationalities and geographical borders, and demands for collaboration remain strong, RingCentral’s new solution may have changed the face of the communication industry as we know it.

UC Today Opinion

Cloud Communications providers are slow to offer a true global cloud solution. Its good to see RingCentral are amongst the few offering SIP based telephone numbers from around the world on their platform. Superb for multi-national companies.
