Node4, a forward-thinking provider of managed services, data centre solutions and communications, recently unveiled their new “Services Gateway“. The Gateway will provide Node4 customers with a simpler way to connect to the advanced Node4 environment and begin accessing the tools available to support their digital transformation (DX) journeys.

The Services Gateway will give Node4 users full access to a wide selection of communication solutions and IT infrastructure. These systems are underpinned by the end-to-end Node4 experience, including tier 3+ data centres, collaboration and cloud platforms, core network environments, and more. The Services Gateway also ensures that customers can benefit from the latest hybrid solutions offered by Node4, and supported by partners like Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Office365.

Easy Access to Digital Transformation

Node4’s end-to-end services and IT infrastructure solutions are already a popular option for UK companies. The Services Gateway will allow these businesses to access the next-level solutions they need as quickly and painlessly as possible. For today’s agile organisations, this could mean better access to productivity-focused applications and workloads.

According to the Chief Commercial Officer of Node4, Paul Bryce, Node4’s strong history of running and managing data centres, including the core Node4 cloud platform will mean that customers have the option to either host with Node4 in the cloud, or on-premises. The Services Gateway also gives Node4 the foundation on which they can build their network and offer customers an advanced gateway to leveraging services within their portfolio.

In a press release, Bryce said that the Services Gateway is all about giving customers control over where they place their workloads, while ensuring security and continuity.

A New Way Forward for Node4 Customers

The Services Gateway by Node4 will allow customers to move into the digital environment that suits them, using a strategy that’s best for their needs. There’s none of the risk associated with potentially making legacy equipment redundant, and customers will be able to access new services along with their existing infrastructure this way.

The Node4 Services Gateway will also support customers that are hoping to take their legacy applications and tools to the next level. Bryce noted that Node4 can now work with developers, customers and support teams to examine the existing applications in a communications stack and determine whether they’re appropriate for a container-based strategy. With containers, customers can deploy applications on the latest operating systems and infrastructure, without getting rid of their legacy footprint overnight.
