Enterprise iOS users could see a range of new communication and collaboration solutions on their devices soon, thanks to joint efforts by Apple and Accenture. The two companies recently announced their decision to join forces in an attempt to create new iOS tools that would help enterprises to make stronger connections with customers through Apple devices.
Accenture will be designing a unique platform for iOS development within the Accenture digital studios. The solution will be staffed by a host of different programmers, designers, architects, and data scientists, all devoted to bringing better experiences to the enterprise. There'll also be an Apple expert in the team, making sure that everything the group produces meets iOS standards.
Diving into the Enterprise Market
Innovation is nothing new to Apple, they've been exploring new solutions for work and play from the very beginning. However, with the new Accenture collaboration, the two companies are hoping to develop ecosystem services that help to manage the full range of requirements required to connect their systems back-to-back.
The team will be developing IoT features, as well as new templates, tools, and pre-made code that allows companies to take advantage of IoT platforms in their iOS apps. There'll also be some work on migration services intended to move data and applications out of legacy solutions. Since many teams have been reluctant to purchase Apple products in support, due to a lack of traditional support solutions, this new partnership could help the company to make its way into a huge new market.
A Work in Progress for Apple
For Apple, this collaboration means that there may finally be an opportunity for the company to expand their iOS devices into the world of enterprise. Of course, it's not the first time that Apple has pushed this angle. Back in 2014, the company teamed up with IBM to develop new business applications for the iPhone and iPad.
