The global leader in collaboration solutions, Avocor, stood out during the selection process due to interactive E series displays, which reportedly represented a simultaneously reliable, durable, and innovative solution for the trust.
TTMAP is a group of five schools in the West Midlands, comprising four secondary schools and one primary school.
Daljeet Kangh, Director of Information Technology Services at Sandwell Academy Trust, commented on the positive changes Avocor has brought about:
“Our traditional AV setup was reliable but limited. We envisioned a future-proof solution that would create a more engaging learning experience but also improve the TCO of our AV systems."
We’ve been delighted with the positive impact Avocor displays have had on our classrooms and look forward to equipping even more classrooms in the future."
TTMAT’s Challenge
Prior to TTMAT’s classroom technology upgrade, the various schools within the trust were using a traditional projector and whiteboard setup.
Unfortunately, this was limiting from a teaching and practical perspective. The project would create a glare on screens, for example, which would result in disrupted presentations. Lamps, too, led to higher costs and downtime when they needed replacing.
Therefore, the Trust decided to begin a vendor selection process to improve its AV technology. It aims to prioritise "future-proof" solutions that could also offer longevity and integration into its existing workflows.
The Solution: Avocor E Series
Avocor’s E Series aligned with TTMAT’s vision because of its “forward-thinking” technology and its ease of integration with a teacher’s laptop or PC, thereby turning the displays into an extension of their tools. It was also able to reduce its costs relating to lamp replacements, which gave it a financially attractive edge.
The Trust has so far chosen to add the Avocor interactive displays in 112 classrooms throughout its network.
