Crestron’s multi-camera switching solution, Automate VX, has received a ‘first-of-its-kind’ certification as a Microsoft Teams Room Device for large and extra-large rooms.
Automate VX offers high-quality meeting experiences with production-style cuts that Crestron calls “unparalleled” in the market, taking Microsoft Teams meetings to the next level.
This announcement represents the latest collaboration in Crestron and Microsoft’s 15-year partnership, in which both companies have been working together to create optimal meeting experiences.

Inclusive meetings come with their own challenges when it comes to capturing and framing in-room participants, particularly for larger collaboration spaces and boardrooms. It is important that remote attendees are easily able to see the in-room speaker to make meetings feel more natural and drive equitable experiences.

Automate VX can meet these requirements with multiple cameras strategically positioned around the room to track active speakers.
The solution can also eliminate the distractions that are usually visible when a camera zooms, tilts, or pans. It achieves this by using one camera to get ready to capture the subsequent speaker, before the system switches the camera feed, while another camera is trained on the current speaker. As a result, disruptive camera movements are reduced and participants can enjoy improved focus on their meetings.
The Automate VX is perfect for high-impact spaces, supporting up to 12 cameras and ensuring remote participants have a clear view of in-person attendees.
