Crosscall Devices Support MS Teams Walkie Talkie

Why frontline comms matter: Crosscall Core and Action devices now support Microsoft Teams Walkie Talkie for secure push-to-talk on rugged smartphones and tablet

Crosscall devices Teams Walkie Talkie support

A range of Croscall smartphones and tablets now support the Microsoft Teams Walkie Talkie app to improve frontline worker communications.

Walkie Talkie provides instant, clear, and secure voice communication through Microsoft Teams. Like a radio, the devices have a built-in push-to-talk button, and it is also a smaller and lighter device to carry.

Frontline workers will be able to use the Walkie Talkie application on the Crosscall Core-X4, Core-M5, Action-X5, Core-X5, and Core-T5.

Core Range Series

The Core Range series, Core-X4, Core-X5, Core-M5, and the Core-T5 tablet, has been designed to work in the most testing work environments, such as construction, manufacturing, public sector, and logistics.

The ultra-rugged devices are built for drop-proofing up to 2m and waterproof resistance against all liquids up to 6ft in depth for 30 minutes.

They include programmable buttons and screens which workers can use with wet hands and gloves.

The speakers are waterproof and create 100 decibels to facilitate loud and clear communications.

Action Range Series

The Action Range series has been built as a bring-you-own-device solution.

The design includes waterproofing, longer-lasting batteries and a 120° camera with professional and personal profiles accessible from the same device using a triple SIM tray.

Microsoft believes this makes the perfect device for customer-facing roles in banking, insurance and retail companies.

X-Link Accessories

Crosscall has also created some accessories utilising the X-Link smart magnet attached to the back of the device.

The X-Link magnet enables mounting to a bike's handlebar, for example, and it can be positioned either in portrait or landscape mode.

X-Link also makes it easier to charge the device with a 98% power transfer rate.

Finally, the X-Link facilitates data transfers without cables, and it attaches in a single step.

All customers with a Microsoft 365 subscription can use the Walkie Talkie application.
