DisplayNote and Promethean bundle Launcher with ActivPanel to improve meeting room calls, app launch and security. Published on UC Today.

DisplayNote and Promethean meeting room solutions

DisplayNote and Promethean have partnered to deliver advanced meeting room solutions.

DisplayNote, a provider of wireless casting and conferencing services, will bundle its call and app-launching product, Launcher, to collaboration display provider Promethean's ActivPanel displays. This intends to bolster business communications and the meeting room experience.

Ed Morgan, DisplayNote's Chief Operations Officer, commented:

We are delighted that Promethean has chosen our call and app Launching software to be bundled with their new workplace displays. Combining one-touch call launching, easy access to apps and room clean-up features with Promethean’s range of Window-powered OPS slot PCs makes meeting rooms more productive, effective and secure."

DisplayNote's Launcher technology is pitched as offering an innovative and secure interface for meeting room displays, enabling users to view calendars, initiate calls, and access content smoothly.

It is compatible with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, GoToMeeting, and Google Meet, ensuring that companies are not restricted to a single UC vendor for starting calls in meeting spaces. According to DisplayNote, this new solution is particularly well-suited for corporate and higher education environments.

"Designed specifically for corporate and higher-education environments, DisplayNote Launcher's customisable interface and agnostic approach to meeting platforms perfectly complement our existing hardware and software solutions," added Lance Solomon, Promethean's Chief Product Officer.

Promethean Forms Distribution Partnership with Exertis AV

In July, Promethean entered into a distribution partnership with Exertis AV, making Exertis AV its new authorised distributor in Germany and Austria.

Exertis AV will operate within a dual distribution model to support retailers across northern and southern Germany, offering localised contact points in each region. While Promethean already has other distributors in the area, Exertis AV provides an additional distribution option for partners, enhancing flexibility and coverage in the market.

Promethean states that its new distribution agreement will enable educational institutions and business customers to access its solutions through official distribution partners. The company describes Exertis AV as a "comprehensive new dealer base" that will strengthen its presence in both the German and Austrian markets.

Exertis AV is seen as a strategic partner for Promethean and is recognised for its commitment to meeting partner needs and its dedication to "inspiring" customers by going the extra mile. The distributor will offer Promethean’s entire portfolio of technologies, helping to match solutions with the specific budgets and requirements of customers in the education and business sectors.
