AV company DTEN has partnered with video conferencing platform Pexip to better integrate Zoom Rooms and Microsoft Teams Rooms into its products.
"Our partnership with Pexip is a natural extension of our dedication to providing next-generation collaboration technology that's simple to deploy, quick to set up and just works, right out of the box,"
Scott Krueckeberg, Head of Strategic Alliances at DTEN, said.
This collaboration aims to deliver an enhanced experience when joining Teams meetings from Zoom Rooms, presenting a user-friendly alternative to Direct Guest Join that operates immediately.
Details of DTEN and Pexip's Partnership
By integrating Pexip's cross-platform interoperability into DTEN's portfolio of devices, the partnership seeks to enhance user experience and streamline communication for organisations using Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
For instance, a company may use Zoom for external calls and Teams for internal calls, and a sales team might pre-brief on a Teams call before moving to a client call on Zoom.
Although solutions like Direct Guest Join exist, Pexip Connect for Zoom Rooms offers an alternative that brings in added features.
Direct Guest Join is a feature that allows Zoom Rooms to join Microsoft Teams meetings directly, but it comes with several limitations such as restricted functionality, dependency on accurate meeting information, and potential lobby bypass issues.
Pexip Connect platform for Zoom Rooms bridges that by offering a user experience upgrade with dual-screen support, in-room content sharing, and improved compatibility across various Zoom Room systems.
This is aimed at making next-generation video collaboration technology simple to deploy for IT administrators and users without technical know-how.
