Neat is driving collaboration to a new level through its partnerships with Zoom and Microsoft, according to Head of Products Norma Lovhaugen.

Lovhaugen spoke to UC Today’s David Dungay at ISE 2022 in Barcelona, where Neat was showing off its product portfolio – including the recently launched Neat Frame.

Neat Frame is an 8.8”x 17.5” device that’s purpose-built for remote working and smaller focus rooms in offices.

“Neat from is definitely for people that are either in their home office or have a hot desk,” Lovhaugen explained.

“It’s super simple to set up and it leverages our secret sauce – our Neat audio processing and our video capabilities.

“It’s purpose-built for video conferencing… and we’re super excited to see what Zoom and Teams are driving in terms of capabilities on Frame, bringing it to another level [beyond] a video conferencing product.”

Lovhaugen also opened up Neat Symmetry, which the vendor recently announced it has successfully patented.

Symmetry uses AI to identify all video participants in a conference room and auto frame on the meeting platform, giving each person equal screen real estate.

“We want people to be able to meet physically, and now they can do that in a meeting room but still have the same feeling as if they’re one to one with the camera,” Lovhaugen said.

Neat has focused on Zoom’s collaboration platform since its founding but earlier this year announced its devices also support Teams.

The vendor appointed Tech Data Maverick as a distributor in April to boost its presence across Europe.
