Audio solutions company Jabra has unveiled its latest innovation aimed at revoluntionising the retail environment: the Perform 75 headset.
Launched on 13 January, this purpose-built Bluetooth device aims to boost collaboration and productivity among retail shift workers, addressing the growing need for seamless information access in fast-moving environments.
“The modern retail environment demands agility and knowledge from associates to meet rising customer expectations,"
Jabra VP for Frontline Workers Andrew Doyle said.
Where Jabra is pioneering with the announcement is by bringing more than just seamless communication to the table.
The new Perform 75 Headset is AI-Ready to augment communication for shift retail workers and boost collaboration and productivity to a greater extent than before.
AI-Ready and Future-Proof
The Perform 75 headset's Bluetooth connectivity allows access to voice-led applications on handheld devices, including emerging AI-driven virtual assistants.
For instance, Jabra's headsets can leverage Microsoft's Intelligent Speaker feature for Teams Rooms, which enables advanced AI-powered functionalities.
This integration could then allow retail workers using Jabra headsets to access things like recap features, allowing retail staff to quickly catch up on important information even if they missed part or all of a meeting
Equally, its forward-thinking design ensures that even if purchased now, the Perform 75 remains relevant as retail operations increasingly incorporate AI technologies.
The device's compatibility with leading platforms such as Microsoft, Zebra Technologies, and Zello further cements its position as a versatile tool in the retail tech ecosystem.
This means it can integrate with existing systems used by many retailers, add additional future-proofing should users switch systems, and even enhance functionality by taking advantage of the unique features from each platform.
Built for Retail Realities
Aside from its AI capacities, the Perform 75 offers a number of ready to use features that make it suitable for deployments now.
Recognising the challenging nature of retail environments, Jabra has engineered the headset to withstand tough conditions.
The Perform 75 boasts an IP65 rating, making it resistant to dust and water, and can operate reliably in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 60°C.
This durability ensures the device can perform consistently in various retail settings, from chilled storage areas to hot, busy shop floors of fast food chains.
Equally, the Perform 75 is built with instant, hands-free access to critical information through Push-to-Talk (PTT) capabilities via a dedicated button on the headset.
This is further augmented by the device's integration with voice-directed software platforms, such as those used in inventory management.
Retail workers can receive real-time updates and instructions without needing to consult separate devices or paperwork, allowing them to maintain focus on their tasks and customer interactions.
