Nureva has announced a shot in the arm to its leadership by announcing two promotions to key executive positions.
Rob Abbott has been appointed Executive Vice President of Products and Strategy, and James Rempel to Vice President of Products.
Nureva CEO Nancy Knowlton said of the announcement:
“Rob and James have been instrumental in shaping Nureva’s product vision and global success, each bringing unique expertise and perspective to our team.”
The Canadian advanced audio conferencing solutions company has billed the move as part of its growth strategy to expand market presence and deliver greater value to customers worldwide.
Both appointments represent a promotion from within, with Abbott and Rempel having served for over five years each at Nureva.
Abbott and Rempel's Skillsets
Abbott's time at Nureva has seen him hold various positions in the product sector of the company.
Joining as Director of Product Management, he was responsible for all aspects of the Span Visual Collaboration business product.
Span is a Nureva product that combines an expansive cloud-based canvas and interactive working walls to enable team creation via an unlimited number of digital canvases to visualise ideas and map processes.
The role saw him handle everything from the creation of product strategy and product roadmaps to the development of SaaS pricing models.
His success here saw him promoted in just over a year, moving to the role of Vice President of Products in 2017.
His seven-year tenure there nurtured his experience within the company and saw him drive the company’s product strategies and road map on a global scale, focused on software, hardware and services for business and education markets.
It's from here Abbott takes his new position. As Executive Vice President of Products, he will focus on driving Nureva’s top-line growth through strategic initiatives and increased engagement with end users.
His product leadership experience is expected to help further align Nureva’s offerings with the evolving needs of customers in corporate and higher education environments globally, and to envision new products and continue overseeing technical support and training
Abbott said of the appointment:
“I’m delighted to move into this role as we continue to innovate and simplify large-room audio solutions.”
“I’m committed to transforming market insights into strategies that not only address but anticipate customer needs, delivering remarkably simple large-room audio solutions,” he concluded.
Rempel's promotion to Vice President of Products comes after a six year stint with the company.
