Shure, a company committed to driving next-generation communication experiences, recently announced the certification of the new MXA710 microphone for Microsoft Teams. The Linear Array Microphone joins a wide portfolio of conferencing solutions from Shure already approved for Teams. This ensures that end-users and installers have a comprehensive ecosystem of Shure products to choose from.
The impressive MXA710 microphone offers high-quality audio in premium environments. Placed beside a wall-mounted display, on a table, or elsewhere, the microphone delivers a subtle solution for excellent audio quality, blending into the room aesthetic without sacrificing performance. Steerable coverage technology, patented by Shure, captures audio anywhere in the room, with both a 2-foot and 4-foot array option.
Intelligent Audio for Teams
The MXA710 Microphone certified for Teams comes with IntelliMix DSP, which allows for automatic mixing, acoustic echo cancellation, automatic gain control, and noise reduction. The processing strategy allows for distraction-free audio, keeping users focused with a unifying AV experience. There’s also Autofocus technology to fine-tune the voice capture in real-time, adjusting for movement in meeting participants.
The Designer System Configuration Software for deployment, room coverage templates allow for quick and easy lobe optimization specifically designed for wall, ceiling, and table installations. Available in various lengths and colors, the MXA710 can be further enhanced with the Dante and AES67 networking protocols. This Teams-ready microphone features LED status bars, PoE power, and configurable color and brightness.
According to Shure, the smaller version of the solution will be ideal for smaller meeting spaces equipped with video conferencing capabilities. The larger version will support bigger meeting rooms for as many as 18 participants. Multiple units can also daisy chain to provide extensive coverage.
A Comprehensive Audio Ecosystem
According to Director for Technology Partnerships at Shure, Paul Gunia, Shure’s solutions support the hybrid workforce, allowing clients and customers to feel like they’re in the same room. Shure’s ecosystem offers solutions certified for Microsoft Teams, supporting standards-based rooms for up to 24 people.
