1. Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Unified Comms: Cisco leads the way in number one position

2. RingCentral claims top spot as worldwide UCaaS provider of the year

3. Microsoft increased their Skype for Business global user count by another 40% in 2016. The Skype app has now been downloaded on mobile devices more than 1 billion times!

4. OFCOM report that 50% of customers in the U.K are now not with BT or Virgin for their telephone lines.

5. BroadSoft leads the cloud PBX/UCaaS market globally with a cloud installed base of 15 million lines (seats)

6. Polycom refused to sell to Mitel, Mitel then divest their mobile division - what next? Or should we say who?

7. BT announced that ISDN lines would be end of life in 2025.

8. Cloud Line Shipments were projected to surpass CPE (traditional PBX systems) by 2020

9. In North America 45% of businesses now use SIP trunking. Versus 42% in the U.K.

10. VoIP traffic reached a record high of 158 petrabytes (per month)
