Channel-focused communications company, 3CX, just announced an update to its leadership team. The company, known for developing an open-standards software IP PBX to replace proprietary PBXs, will be bringing Stefan Walther in as a new Chief Executive Officer. Walther will be taking the role from Nick Galea, the founder and former CEO of 3CX. Going forward, Galea will be taking the position of CTO in the company instead.
In a press release about the leadership change, Galea commented that after founding 3CX and building it from the ground up to the point of having 250,000 customers, he thinks it's time for some new perspectives to help push 3CX to the next level. Stefan Walther comes to 3CX with extensive experience in the marketplace, and he has been a part of the company's success from day one according to Galea. Additionally, Nick believes that moving to the CTO role will give him more time to focus on building the product.

The 3CX team is confident that Walther will be able to continue driving Galea's vision forward.
