3CX business continuity during COVID-19

3CX, the developer of an open-standards communication solution that provides innovative collaboration and connectivity solutions, has announced an update to support those dealing with COVID-19. The company has revealed that it will be offering the standard version of its software to all businesses, completely free, for 3 years.

The offer was released in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, which has forced governments to shut down everything from businesses to schools around the world. The 3CX brand hopes to support organisations in maintaining “business as usual,” with access to the communications software that they need for free.

The standard edition of the 3CX software will enable employees to work from home easily without interruption, what’s more, the free service is available immediately to anyone who needs it. 3CX is also working on a separate solution for schools, which allows teachers and students to stay connected for regular lessons.

Staying Connected in a Pandemic

The 3CX brand is well-known for its state-of-the-art communication solution, which offers access to WebRTC solutions, apps for iOS and Android, the web, and desktop. There’s live chat available for consistent communication too. Already, countless brands like McDonald's, Harley Davidson, and Pepsi rely on 3CX.

With the COVID-19 outbreak, 3CX has seen an unprecedented rise in demand for tools that allow teams to work efficiently from remote locations. To assist companies in making the transition to a remote working environment, 3CX is delivering its standard edition for free for three years. CEO, Stefan Walther, announced that he hopes this will alleviate some of the financial burdens that this virus is imposing on businesses and the global economy.

The available software includes apps for making and receiving calls, as well as a presence feature so that users can see the status of their colleagues. There’s also calendaring options for people to schedule conferences and access to the company phonebook too.

Business as Usual

3CX hopes that its free standard solution will give enterprises to everything that they need to thrive in this rapidly-changing environment. From video conferencing and collaboration tools for face-to-face meetings, to Live Chat for interacting with customers, the 3CX solution has it all.

There’s a particular page already set up on the 3CX website for companies that want to obtain a free license. The offer will be available until the crisis has eased down.
