Sinch has expanded its partnership with Verizon to provide and enable RCS for Business Messaging (RBM) to Verizon subscribers.
“Partnering with MNOs like Verizon underscores our commitment to providing expanded reach for RCS with innovative communications solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty,”
Lodema Steinbach, VP of Product and Carrier Relations for North America at Sinch, said.
Announced alongside Sinch’s presence this week at Enterprise Connect, the expanded partnership will leverage the two companies' combined expertise and resources, including Verizon's network and Sinch's cloud, to accelerate the expansion of RCS coverage.
Why Sinch and Verizon are Improving RCS
Much customer communication with companies is currently being undertaken via phone.
Companies, as a result, have implemented a number of omnichannel resources to cater to customers.
However, the space is currently flooded with fraud calls and SMS.
This represents a potential threat to companies being able to contact their customers.
Yet RCS is seen as a way businesses can fight fraud messages by offering additional security to ensure customers and give them confidence.
RCS offers features such as verified sender profiles, secure communication, and enhanced engagement capabilities, making interactions more reliable and secure.
