Avaya secure services validation

Avaya, experts in the world of digital communications and collaboration services, recently announced their position as the 88th company to be designated a Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures numbering authority. The designation was provided by the international non-profit institute, the MITRE Corporation, which focuses on keeping the world of technology secure.

For years, Avaya has shown it's leadership credentials with superior communication software and hardware. Now, as security continues to be one of the most critical concerns for any modern business, Avaya proves it's credibility as a secure and reliable solution for any organisation. Avaya's solutions have been carefully designed to protect vulnerable and valuable data through advanced features and encryption. The enterprise UC platform offered by Avaya provides world-class security to meet with the most rigorous FIPS and JITC compliance standards dictated by the US.

What the Designation Means to Avaya

Avaya's designation as a CVE numbering authority validates its position as a security expert, offering transparency and threat protection to its customers. According to the SVP of Innovation at Avaya, Laurent Philonenko, the accreditation is an essential step for the business's cybersecurity efforts. Partnering as a CAN with MITRE will help Avaya to continue contributing to the battle against cybercrime.

Laurent noted in a press release that Avaya is committed to offering highly reliable, secure solutions for their customers so that they can safeguard their data. From investigating any possible vulnerabilities that Avaya users might have, to "releasing timely security updates" Avaya wants to give their users complete peace of mind.

Making the World a Safer Place

As a Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures numbering authority Avaya will automatically have the right to identify and flag any problematic vulnerabilities within their communication products. The CVE means that Avaya can issue unique CVE IDs to problems, and publicly disclose vulnerabilities that are newly identified, as well as releasing important vulnerability information.

CNAs within the MITRE programme are experts authorised to assign CVE entries to any vulnerability issues that might be affecting the products in their specific space.
