Avaya names Darcey Harrison VP of Cloud Acceleration to drive OneCloud, UCaaS, CCaaS and CPaaS cloud growth.

Avaya VP of Cloud Acceleration appointment

Avaya has announced the arrival of a new senior member of staff for the North American team. Avaya announced that it has appointed Darcey Harrison as the VP of Cloud Acceleration in North America. This appointment is intended to further strengthen Avaya’s position as the company continues to work on supporting partners and customers in their digital transformation journey and migration to the cloud.

Harrison will be responsible for supporting and driving the continued expansion of new and existing customer adoption for Avaya’s OneCloud collaboration and communication service. According to Avaya, Harrison will work with customers to ensure that Avaya is the preferred partner for any organisation adapting its business to the new future of work.

Making Progress for the Future of Cloud

According to the Senior Vice President of North American Sales for Avaya, Frank Ciccone, Avaya is continuing to attract an extremely high-quality level of talent, with an ongoing focus on delivering excellent experiences for customers and providing fantastic multi-cloud in a wide range of subscription and deployment models.

The cloud subscription business for Avaya now represents over 30% of the company’s revenue, and the power of this solution is constantly growing. 40% of the new logos are based in the cloud, and Frank notes that the company is continuing to gain more traction in the cloud space as businesses discover they can trust Avaya for CPaaS, UCaaS, and CCaaS.

Avaya is thrilled to be welcoming Darcey into the company at this thrilling time in its journey through digital transformation. According to Ciccone, Darcy’s industry experience and leadership in the space will be huge assets to the team.

A New Future for Avaya

Harrison is joining the Avaya team from another leading CCaaS solution provider, UJET. Darcy was the Chief Revenue Officer for UJET, delivering more than 100% growth for the company, and taking responsibility for channels, sales, solutions consulting, sales operations, and customer success. Before UJET, Darcey’s extensive leadership in the industry included a wide selection of senior cloud sales management positions that involved helping clients through tech transitions to achieve better business outcomes.

According to Harrison, she’s thrilled to be joining Avaya at such an important time, particularly as the company continues to build on its customer-driven approach to innovation in the growing multi-cloud collaboration and communication offerings. Avaya already has a strong presence in the communications market and continues to be a top choice for some of the largest companies in the world. As companies continue to make the transition to the cloud, Darcey looks forward to assisting in growth for partners, Avaya, and customers.
