Leading communications and collaboration solution provider Avaya recently announced a new feature for Avaya Spaces. The all-in-one collaboration platform for digital teams now has a new “concert view” option. This video conferencing capability will allow up to 61 people to be present within a video session at once.
Supporting the Work Anywhere environment, Avaya Spaces provides companies with a collaboration tool to transform the way that work gets done. With a central solution for video, voice, chat, messaging, and task management, companies have a simple platform for increasing productivity. According to the recent Work Anywhere survey conducted by Avaya, 57% of companies are now reporting some issues with remote communication causing fatigue.
The rapid growth in demand for video conferencing and the rise of new platforms is creating a desire for more simple all-in-one solutions that reduce app fatigue. Employees need the right tools to enhance their work-anywhere experiences.
A New Solution for Video Conferencing
Avaya believes that adapting to the new world of work means that companies need to stop approaching video meetings as the only way to collaborate 24/7. Avaya Spaces will allow teams to optimize their performance at day-to-day tasks, while also supporting unplanned changes in business operations.
The latest enhancements to Avaya Spaces include the arrival of a new 61-participant Concert video layout, which allows multiple people to connect at once. The primary speaker has a larger position in the centra of the feed, ideal for town-hall and all-hands conversations. Other updates include:
- Updated video layouts with various types of meeting to choose from, including project planning, training, interview, and panel discussion templates
- Intelligent moderation with host control for participant cameras and microphones, smart mute, raise hand features, and more. This reduces distractions and improves interaction in the workplace or educational landscape
- Modern collaboration control for various use cases. Teachers can now enable students to post completed assignments and connect with friends outside of class time. Educators can also turn off capabilities that might cause distractions during lessons
Updating Avaya Spaces
According to the CPO and EVP of Avaya, Anthony Bartolo, today’s business environment is reshaping the way that customers, organisations, and individuals collaborate. It isn’t enough for businesses to just “remote enable” people, they also need to create a new future of work. The capabilities provided by Avaya Spaces continue to transform to suit the needs of Avaya’s customers.
