AWS and Alianza have partnered to empower communications service providers (CSPs) to accelerate cloud transformations.
The agreement between AWS and CSP cloud platform Alianza intends to revolutionise how CSPs deliver and monetise voice and cloud comms services. The ongoing global digital transformation prompted the solution, with legacy voice infrastructure becoming outmoded. CSPs must decide how best to manage the next generation of voice and comms products.
Sameer Vuyyuru, Director and Head of Worldwide Telecommunications Business Development at AWS, said:
AWS and Alianza are both driven to innovate and modernize telecom infrastructure. The combination of Alianza’s full-stack cloud communications platform with our customer-centric go-to-market motion and proven cloud infrastructure delivers a turnkey solution to solve key business challenges for service providers, making it the easy choice for CSP network transformation."
The offering is now generally available in North America and has been deployed by more than 100 CSPs, including national operators Lumen, Viasat and Brightspeed.
“AWS has been strategic in helping Alianza to build and scale one of the world’s best cloud communications experiences for service providers,” added Dag Peak, Chief Product Officer at Alianza. “Together, we will continue to accelerate growth for communications service providers and make the promise of digital transformation a reality.”
The Agreement's Significant Opportunities for CSPs
One significant feature is reduced cost of ownership and more streamlined operations. The Alianza Cloud Communications Platform allows CSPs to migrate away from their softswitch-based VoIP networks and TDM legacy hardware to introduce new UCaaS and cloud comms services. The partnership with AWS enables telcos to move workflows to a cloud environment.
The customer experience will also be enhanced as cloud transformations open up opportunities for greater product innovation, market differentiation, and digital automation. CSPs deploying retail services through Alianza and AWS also preserve control over the customer experience, encompassing market positioning, brand identity, and pricing.
The solution also involves new product innovation. CSPs no longer have to focus on migrating individual workloads because Alianza has streamlined communications infrastructure into a unified software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution for CSPs. This enables them to offer a comprehensive suite of legacy voice and next-gen communications products. Ongoing product innovation allows CSPs to improve market agility and flexibility, have a faster time-to-market, and minimise risk.
