Zoom Docs Announced, New AI Companion Features Launched, new Crestron Zoom Certifications, and More Revealed at Zoomtopia 2023
There has been a plethora of news at this week's Zoomtopia 2023.
Zoom has launched its AI-powered solution, Zoom Docs, to improve worker productivity and collaboration. The company says the collaboration workspace is “purpose-built to address today’s hybrid working challenges”. It includes document and wiki creation and seamless workflow and project management processes.
Smita Hashim, Chief Product Officer at Zoom, commented:
Hybrid work is hard enough, and the status quo for document creation and collaboration isn’t cutting it anymore. Zoom is helping our customers by bringing the definition of a ‘doc’ into 2023 — with powerful document authoring and collaboration capabilities, modern collaboration tools, and a next-gen workspace built from the ground up with AI at its heart; Zoom Docs is that solution."
Zoom also expanded AI Companion’s summarisation capabilities to new industry customers in higher education and healthcare at Zoomtopia. Compounding that announcement, Zoom unveiled a new capability for AI Companion, the idea generation board in Whiteboard, which is now generally available, and outlined the next waves of compelling features currently in development for the generative AI assistant.
Furthermore, Crestron introduced new solutions and certifications at Zoomtopia to aid Zoom customers in their daily workflows. Crestron received Zoom certifications for the Videobar 70 and intelligent video cameras. It launched a new Zoom Phone Appliance and Scheduling Panel with Zoom Rooms software.
Additionally, the Snom M500 DECT series has been certified by Zoom Phone, which Snom Americas believes will “revolutionise the Zoom Phone resellers channel”. Zoom also introduced enhancements, incentives, and support programs to strengthen its partner program, Zoom Up.
