In the current landscape, the remote workforce, referred to by Broadvoice as the “anywhere” workforce, needs more flexibility. According to the Chief Product Officer for Broadvoice, George Mitsopoulos, this new workforce has taken over the landscape, and Microsoft Teams is helping to lead the charge, growing 275% since the fall of 2019. There’s been a substantial increase in the number of people using Microsoft Teams, from 20 million, to 75 million users.
Businesses today are turning to Teams as a way of replicating their natural office environment with employees that need to work from home. As the preferred hub for messaging and collaboration, Teams offers a lot of functionality, but it’s been lacking in one crucial area: voice communications. The Broadvoice for Microsoft Teams product aims to fill this gap.
Users of Broadvoice for Microsoft Teams will be able to make and take calls from directly within the Microsoft Teams application, unifying messaging, collaboration, and voice all in the same environment. Users will also be able to unlock the advanced calling features and contact centre functionalities offered by B-Hive. This includes features like call queues, auto attendant, call routing, and faxing.
