The cloud communications market has grown by 2.3m users within the last six months, according to the latest market data from Cavell Group.
The company had initially forecast 2022 to be a growth year in many markets however the impact of the war in Ukraine, inflationary pressures, and ongoing supply chain issues has meant the market has now grown as quickly as previously forecast.
Despite this, user adds have been significant in the cloud communications market this year as businesses continue to move their communications to the cloud.
Cavell's reports cover how the markets in Western Europe and the US have evolved as well as provide a forecast for how the markets will look by the end of 2026.
Dominic Black, Director of Research Services, Cavell Group, said: "Cloud Communications solutions are being adopted across all markets but the opportunities in some markets are shrinking as penetration rates reach significant levels.
"The impact of the pandemic still is driving the market forward, but macro headwinds still remain.
"There is still huge growth forecast in the market with over 50m users migrating from legacy PBX solutions to cloud communications solutions by the end of 2026."
According to the reports, penetration rates average around 37 per cent in countries such as Germany and France however this is still behind other markets in different countries.
